Deborah received a Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University, in 1999. Her painting skills were sought after, and utilized in the hand painting of intricate rug design, before computers began to dominate the design industry! The below rug designs were painted by hand, using gouache paint, with brushes as small as "000". (This is the size of a toothpick!)
The oil painting was completed while studying in Florence Italy, in 1998. The outdoor mural was created in Conover, Wisconsin, at Camp Ramah, using waterproof house paint.

This rug was produced for The Minnesota Historical Society. The painting was created                                 based off of the original antique rug, and was used to create a reproduction.

As an artist in residence at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, this mural was a project lead by Deborah. The participating campers received a piece of wood, and chose a pasuk from the Torah to illustrate. Deborah painted the 5 foot high Torah scrolls, and   the titles of the books of the Torah (black boards with white writing), and the campers illustrated the boards in between. (Circa 2006)
