The World At Your Feet!
Deborah's painting skills were sought after, and utilized in the hand painting of intricate rug design, before computers began to dominate the design industry. The below rug designs were painted by hand, using gouache, with brushes as small as "000". (This is the size of a toothpick!) All of the colors were mixed by hand to match the required yarns exactly.
This rug was produced for The Minnesota Historical Society. The painting was created based off of the original antique rug, and was used to create a reproduction.
